Education

Connections Academy is a tuition-free, accredited K–12 online public school program operated by Connections Education (a Pearson division). It delivers state-aligned curriculum and virtual classroom experiences with certified teachers, personalized learning, and support for families serving as learning coaches. The program offers grade-level courses, college and career readiness, clubs and socialization opportunities, and technology support across multiple U. S. states.

📋 Description

• Virtually manage instructional programs for students with special needs • Consult regularly with learning coaches and students to ensure successful program completion • Participate in all steps of the IEP process • Work closely with other teachers and district professionals to ensure compliance with regulations • Utilize technology to deliver virtual instruction • Manage and provide instructional guidance, virtual teaching, and general strategies for a caseload of students • Develop, write, and help implement IEPs and 504 plans • Evaluate tests and assessments, complete report cards, and conduct parent conferences • Communicate regularly with parents/learning coaches of students to ensure IEP goals are met • Provide direct services to students through web-conferencing software as needed • Schedule, organize, and conduct IEP related meetings in a virtual environment as needed • Assist with the organization and proper implementation of all paperwork for the IEP process • Assist with locating service providers for students needing related services as mandated by their IEPs • Maintain accurate and up-to-date data in the Learning Management System and special education software • Assist with administering state testing and coordinate adaptations required based on the IEP • Other duties as assigned.

🎯 Requirements

• Must reside within the state of Arkansas or live 300 miles from Bentonville, AR • Degree in Special Education or related Education Field • Valid Arkansas Special Education certification • Experience in policy (IDEA) and/or administration with Special Education • Strong technology skills (especially with Microsoft Office products and Google Suite) • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written • Customer focused approach • High degree of flexibility • Demonstrated ability to work well in fast paced environment • Team player track record • Willingness to travel on occasion for marketing and state testing events (may require occasional overnight travel) • Ability to work remotely • Ability to work some occasional evening hours, as needed to support some families • Must be able to use a personal electronic device and an email address for two-step authentication.
