The program offers grade-level courses, college and career readiness, clubs and socialization opportunities, and technology support across multiple U. S. states.

📋 Description

• Provide high-quality, direct occupational therapy services to assigned K-12 students according to mandated IEPs and service goals • Conduct screenings and formal and informal evaluations of students' occupational therapy needs using documented best practices • Apply state-specific policies and procedures for implementing occupational therapy services • Write evaluation reports, progress notes, and individualized education plans • Log all student interactions and detailed therapy notes in the Education Management System according to Medicaid guidelines • Participate as an IEP team member by attending meetings and submitting required paperwork • Communicate regularly with parents/learning coaches and school special education staff regarding IEP goals and student needs • Consult with teachers and coordinate specially designed instruction defined in IEPs • Assist with organization and implementation of IEP paperwork, documentation, and procedures • Maintain accurate data in the Education Management System and special education software, including secondary IEP systems • Maintain positive relationships between the OT team, schools, and programs served • Review and analyze reports to maintain compliance • Obtain and maintain required licenses and clearances • Complete additional assigned duties • Provide services remotely using webcams, web conferencing software, the online Education Management System, and other caseload-management tools

🎯 Requirements

• Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an ACOTE accredited institution • NBCOT Certification • Valid Board and/or Department of Education License for Occupational Therapy for your state of residence and the state you will be assigned to work in • Ability to obtain and maintain multiple required state certifications and clearances as assigned • 2+ years' experience in K-12 school setting • Strong technology skills • High degree of flexibility and ability to work independently • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written • Flexibility in work hours during school hours, from 8 am to 8 pm, subject to change with caseload assignments and student location • Ability to conduct evaluations from an approved list of evidence-based, normed assessments • High level of integrity and transparency • Positive attitude • Evidence of a strong work ethic • Demonstrated team player • Required National Board Certification
