📋 Description

• Direct, coordinate, and provide medical and clinical services to assigned individuals at local facilities via telehealth • Complete psychiatric evaluations, crisis interventions, family interventions, diagnostic assessments, capacity assessments, risk assessments, education, treatment planning, and discharge planning • Document individual progress in clinical records • Write admission, discharge, medication administration, and other treatment-plan orders • Oversee medication education and consent • Order laboratory tests and review nursing health assessments • Obtain medical histories and conduct focused physical examinations as indicated • Contact primary care physicians, emergency room clinicians, and outpatient behavioral health providers • Assess individual needs, guide the clinical team, and update treatment plans • Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff and local medical leaders • Escalate complex cases to the medical director • Participate in quality-improvement activities, clinical didactics, supervision, and medical staff meetings • Conduct timely emergency examinations and provide telephone/video consultation while on duty • Testify in court when required, potentially via audiovisual platform • Collaborate with on-site nurse practitioners and physician assistants providing 24/7 coverage • Evaluate patient conditions, prescribe treatments, and provide ongoing consultation to NPs and PAs • Perform other assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine • 4 years of post-doctoral experience, including approved psychiatric residency training programs, delivering mental health treatment to adults, children, and/or adolescents • Licensed by all State Medical Boards in which Connections Health Solutions provides services • Eligible for Board Certification • Unrestricted DEA license • Fully vaccinated with proper documentation, or exempt through the Company’s exemption process, before the start date • Complete credentialing requirements within the required period, including obtaining an NPI, Medallion enrollment, Medicare enrollment, and other necessary credentials
