📋 Description

• Develop and maintain strategic initiatives within the Indirect Procurement Category Road Transportation • Manage inbound and outbound deliveries for bulk and packed goods involving 3PL logistics providers and subcontractors • Develop category strategies, negotiate with suppliers, identify and implement cost-saving initiatives, and apply procurement tools and levers • Conduct demand reviews, management and process development, and manage critical North American supplier relationships • Design sourcing strategies to improve cost, lead times, working capital, payment terms, and spend transparency • Research, select, develop, and manage supplier relationships across multiple businesses • Communicate with internal stakeholders to identify cost-saving opportunities • Align category strategies and share knowledge with category managers from other regions • Identify vendors and manage vendor selection, qualification, and approval • Evaluate vendor performance and resolve supplier issues • Prepare and maintain RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs through project completion • Assist cross-functional teams in defining project scope • Develop, manage, and monitor Master Service Agreements • Collect, analyze, and assure the quality and accuracy of spend analysis • Maintain files and communicate non-conformance issues internally and with vendors • Negotiate spot purchases and agreements and educate others on procurement policies and procedures • Enter, monitor, maintain, and check compliance of purchase orders and contracts • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory agencies • Serve as North America point of contact for service, commercial terms, and contract disputes

🎯 Requirements

• Extensive experience in negotiating road transportation services • Proven ability in utilizing and leveraging e-sourcing/procurement systems • Ability to develop best practice sourcing methodology and category strategies • Excellent teaming, communication, and organizational skills • Experience in spend analysis, contract development and execution • Business English proficiency • Ideally, cross-cultural experience • Strong quantitative and data analysis skills • Strong understanding of the transportation industry in the United States and Canada • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sourcing/buying of indirect categories or related • Bachelor’s degree with concentration in procurement, supply chain, engineering, business administration, information systems and/or related fields • MBA preferred
