📋 Description

• Independently perform material quantity takeoffs for standard and moderately complex infrastructure projects • Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and notes to determine accurate material requirements • Identify specialty materials with some guidance • Prepare scopes and material lists for sales teams and customers • Participate in pre-takeoff and post-takeoff discussions to support knowledge transfer • Work with contractors and sales teams to clarify scope, project needs, and value-engineering opportunities • Communicate with vendors to obtain product information, lead times, and material guidance • Coordinate with the Pre-Bid team to maintain accurate scope definitions • Improve plan-reading, takeoff accuracy, and infrastructure product knowledge • Mentor Estimator I personnel by answering questions and reviewing simple takeoffs

🎯 Requirements

• 2–4 years of estimation experience or related industry background • Demonstrated ability to perform accurate takeoffs from plan sets • Experience engaging with contractors or vendors preferred • Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree preferred in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline • Equivalent industry experience considered • Growing technical expertise in infrastructure materials • Solid analytical skills • Effective communication with internal and external partners • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines • Increasing confidence in takeoff responsibilities
