📋 Description

• Provide legal services to internal business units by responding to routine matters and questions • Lead drafting, review, negotiation, and management of complex commercial agreements • Evaluate contract terms, risk factors, regulatory considerations, and business objectives • Determine negotiation strategies, methods, and procedures for new or complex assignments • Advise internal stakeholders on commercial, operational, and regulatory matters • Coordinate legal, sales, operations, finance, compliance, privacy, security, and other business functions • Develop and improve contract templates, standard terms, negotiation playbooks, policies, procedures, and workflows • Resolve complex contracting issues and escalations • Support strategic transactions, partnerships, renewals, amendments, terminations, and other business initiatives • Prepare legal summaries, termination analyses, risk assessments, correspondence, and other documents • Monitor legal, regulatory, industry, and business developments • Collaborate with senior business stakeholders and outside counsel • Guide business partners and less experienced team members on contracting matters • Maintain contract records, status tracking, and reporting • Complete performance-review responsibilities, special projects, and other assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• J.D. or equivalent law degree from an accredited law school • Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction • 6+ years legal experience with a law firm or corporate legal department handling contract matters • Ability to work remotely with minimal interruptions to the work day • Proven ability to learn the legal and business drivers of complex contracts • Focus on healthcare, technology, and/or professional services • Experience handling and negotiating contracts and related agreements preferred • Ability to define problems, consolidate relevant information, establish facts, and draw and defend valid conclusions • Ability to read and apply laws and government regulations with support of in-house counsel • Ability to work independently on matters within purview of the position • Strong PC skills, particularly MS Office Suite of applications • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly to non-lawyers • Strong judgment and ability to assess risk in the context of business objectives • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment • Highly collaborative, pragmatic, and solutions-oriented approach • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills • Must be able to provide high-speed internet access/connectivity and office setup and maintenance • Must be able to provide a dedicated, secure work area • Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation
