• Serve as a subject matter expert on Revenue Cycle knowledge • Collaborate with the Team Lead to develop and oversee new-hire onboarding materials • Train Specialists and Specialist 2s and mentor team members • Complete or monitor organizational functions and processes accurately, on time, and in compliance with policies and regulations • Track processes and prepare management reports on departmental quality and actions • Analyze, identify, and implement procedural changes to improve performance, efficiency, revenue, and margins • Resolve errors and exceptions of limited risk and complexity • Identify revenue cycle improvement opportunities and develop implementation plans with the manager • Serve as a key contact for departments, clients, and auditors • Research and resolve outstanding claims and client/audit issues • Post payments and adjustment transactions to collection and client systems • Reconcile posted bank transactions, monthly bank statements, cash-posting databases, and daily deposits • Research and accurately distribute payments lacking invoice numbers or dates of service • Prepare and record financial transactions and maintain daily and monthly audit reporting • Maintain knowledge of compliance and recovery laws governing cash processing and recoupment • Maintain departmental productivity, quality, and process standards • Gather data, analyze problems, evaluate options, and implement solutions • Support audit operations and broader team activities • Work with clients, customers, and partners to assess needs, provide assistance, and resolve problems
• 2–4 years of related experience and/or Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business or five years of relevant experience preferred • Minimum of two years of financial and/or business-related experience • Proficiency in MS Excel required; Access strongly preferred • Knowledge of revenue cycle practices • Healthcare experience a plus • Ability to work both in a team and independently • Excellent organizational ability to handle multiple priorities • Ability to provide a dedicated, secure work area • Ability to provide high-speed internet access/connectivity and office setup and maintenance • Understanding of Cotiviti policies and procedures and external regulatory requirements • Compliance with HIPAA laws and requirements • Competency with computers, word processing and spreadsheet applications, web systems, Cotiviti and client systems, data file structures, and PowerPoint • Ability to download and format common file types • Ability to plan, organize, prioritize multiple tasks, and ensure timely completion
