📋 Description

• Chair and/or serve as a second committee member on doctoral dissertations, providing methodological and/or content expertise to forensic psychology doctoral candidates • Infrequently instruct content courses or research methodology courses for which credentialed, based on student enrollment • Educate Walden University students using online technology and resources • Provide thoughtful, well-written, timely knowledge, information, feedback, and critique • Complete required Mentor Training • Use the Canvas platform when assigned a course • Interact with students through Canvas discussion boards • Respond to student questions within 48 hours • Verify the accuracy of student postings and submissions • Provide feedback and grades through Canvas • Maintain reasonable accessibility to students, including outside discussion boards • Provide substantive feedback on assignments and postings • Publish availability through course syllabi, instructor information, and/or other appropriate documents • Potentially attend domestic or international residencies to teach intensives and colloquia and facilitate school- and university-wide discussions • Perform other duties as assigned • Comply with Walden University policies and standards

🎯 Requirements

• Ph.D. in Forensic Psychology or a related field from an accredited institution required • Forensic experience at the doctoral level preferred • One year of experience serving on doctoral committees preferred; experience chairing a committee preferred • Evidence of continuing scholarly or creative work within the past 5 years • Proficiency in APA 7th edition • Strong research methodology background in quantitative, qualitative, and/or mixed methods; preference given to quantitative • Excellent leadership, communication, teamwork, and human relations skills • At least 1,000 hours of direct forensic psychology experience over five years, or completion of a 2,000-hour formal postdoctoral fellowship in forensic psychology • Ability to use Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), zip software, and Adobe Acrobat • Reliable internet access and alternate access if primary access becomes unavailable • Own laptop required • Ability to use the Walden University Learning Management System and Microsoft 365 tools with an assigned Walden email address • Must comply with Walden University policies and standards
