📋 Description

• Provide project support within the Substation Engineering team • Work on electric utility substation projects ranging from 4kV to 345kV • Develop substation general arrangements • Prepare control house layout plans and sections • Design grounding and lightning protection systems • Prepare conduit/trench layouts and material lists • Prepare calculations for grounding, lightning protection, voltage drop, and AC/DC load studies • Support and coordinate engineering and design related to civil/structural aspects • Coordinate with Protection and Control Engineering • Perform quality control/assurance reviews • Support projects from scoping through final design and project closeout • Provide construction support • Maintain strong client focus and customer service

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering • Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) is a plus with ambition to obtain Professional Engineering Licensure (PE) • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the electric utility industry • Direct experience with substation projects for electric utilities • Experience in utility substation engineering with focus on electrical or physical aspects of design • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation is a plus • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Must be an outgoing team player with the ability to provide client confidence • Strong client focus and customer service • Ability to interface with other disciplines and be client facing
