📋 Description

• Build and maintain the Vendor Schema Registry to ingest, parse, and version vendor API specifications such as OpenAPI, Swagger, and Smithy • Track schema evolution across providers and detect breaking and semantic changes • Ensure the canonical ontological model stays synchronized with vendor ground truth • Implement semantic validation systems to catch mapping gaps, type conflicts, and semantic regressions • Design and maintain internal tooling, SDKs, scaffolding, and documentation systems for product and ingest teams • Collaborate with Knowledge Engineers and Ontologists to translate vendor schema constraints into input for the canonical model • Surface tensions between vendor API realities and ontology requirements • Improve documentation, tooling, and validation guardrails for downstream teams

🎯 Requirements

• Strong software engineering background with hands-on experience building systems that parse, validate, and transform structured specifications or schemas at scale • Proficiency in Go, Rust, and/or Python • Comfort in polyglot environments • Deep experience with API specification formats such as OpenAPI/Swagger, Smithy, JSON Schema, or similar • Experience parsing, diffing, and reasoning about schema evolution • Practical understanding of graph data models and downstream consequences of upstream schema decisions • Demonstrated experience building internal tooling, SDKs, or frameworks used by other engineers • Rigorous, correctness-first engineering mindset focused on invariants and edge cases • Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency, and drive business outcomes • Experience with systems that track and diff API specification changes over time is a bonus • Familiarity with RDF, SHACL, OWL, SPARQL, or ontology engineering toolchains is a bonus • Background in infrastructure, cloud platform engineering, or security tooling is a bonus • Experience with declarative configuration systems or code generation pipelines is a bonus • Must be eligible to work in the United States, as the role is listed for USA - Remote
