📋 Description

• Support eight facilities of the North American Food Division manufacturing operations • Provide problem-solving on electrical technical matters relating to food can and end performance • Develop full documentation packages for new and existing installations • Provide continued support to new installations and plants until production efficiencies and goals are met • Support plants and personnel in identifying production problems or issues • Identify viable solutions and implement them • Develop job completion schedules and monitor progress • Guide, support, and train plant electrical teams • Report directly to the Sr Manager Production Engineering (Electrical) • Perform duties in plant and office environments, with exposure to moving mechanical parts, vehicular traffic, varying temperatures, and frequently loud noise

🎯 Requirements

• BS degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or a related discipline • Minimum 5+ years in a packaging manufacturing environment, food production, or a similar industry • Strong technical knowledge of electrical power and controls design and installation • Experience in PLC logic programming, documentation, and troubleshooting control programs, including Allen Bradley, Siemens, or Modicon • Experience with facilities power distribution, including voltages up to 600V and three-phase systems • Experience with control systems and subsystems • Knowledge of power transmission equipment such as gearboxes, drive trains, and conveying equipment • Proven record of delivering engineering outputs to achieve scheduled targets • Effective verbal and written communication skills • Ability to interact with employees at all organizational levels • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team setting • Strong organization, attention to detail, and time management skills • Strong PC skills, especially Word, Outlook, and Excel • Commitment to ongoing personal development and career growth • Ability to travel up to 70% regularly to plant locations • Ability to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds • Close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus • Preferred: Steel and/or aluminum manufacturing environment experience • Preferred: Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing certification
