📋 Description

• Inspect new electrical installations and review plans, specifications, drawings, equipment submittals, and related documentation • Issue, obtain, pull, and manage electrical permits across states, cities, municipalities, and reciprocal states • Ensure Cummins employees and subcontractors comply with NEC, NFPA70e, state electrical laws, regulations, and safety procedures • Conduct site visits, checklist reviews, JSO processes, electrical safety audits, and incident investigations • Act as qualification agent for medium/high- and low-voltage electrical systems, including generators, EV chargers, loadbank testing, marine power generation, hydrolyzers, and fuel cells • Monitor technician trainee cards, electrical work hours, renewals, and continuing education submissions • Maintain compliance records and document completed inspections in Cummins operations systems • Maintain relationships with state, city, local municipality, and Department of Industrial Relations agencies • Coordinate permitting and compliance with PEM/PM/Data Center and Start & Test teams • Participate in electrical safety meetings and support technician awareness of regulations • Attend required virtual and in-person meetings and perform other assigned duties • Travel extensively throughout the home state and reciprocal states

🎯 Requirements

• College, university, or equivalent degree required • Current Master Electrician license, equivalent master license, or other required licenses in the home state and reciprocal states as required • Maintain required work hours and continuing education credits • Hold or be willing to apply for reciprocity electrical licenses • Intermediate level of relevant work experience, including team leadership experience • Knowledge of NEC and state electrical installation laws and regulations • Knowledge of NEC/NFPA70e codes and qualifications • Ability to inspect electrical installations, review plans, issue/pull permits, enforce codes and standards, and maintain compliance records • Ability to perform site visits, safety audits, JSO reviews, and compliance inspections • Ability to manage technician trainee cards, submitted hours, and continuing education requirements • Willingness and ability to travel 75–90% or more • Ability to attend virtual and in-person meetings • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations
