📋 Description

• Proactively manage the litigation process on assigned claims • Investigate, evaluate, negotiate and resolve large and/or complex third-party litigated claim files • Evaluate coverage and liability exposures • Decide when to hire external resources for claim investigations, expert analysis or legal services • Collaborate with Underwriting, Risk Management, Actuarial and Legal staff • Provide education and information to business partners and credit unions regarding risks, exposures, operations and efficiencies • Provide timely reporting according to claim handling guidelines • Handle claims in multiple states • Pursue maximum recovery or contribution • Build and solidify partnerships with credit unions through proactive professional consultation • Consult on credit union risks and loss prevention related to litigation • Ensure consistent handling of commercial insurance claims • Integrate recovery processes into claim resolution

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience • Minimum of 7 years of claims experience with a focus on litigation • Demonstrated knowledge of policy coverage and interpretation skills • Ability to meet the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers • Demonstrated problem-solving skills • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication • Ability to work independently, including effectively in a remote office environment • Strong experience in Microsoft Office Suite and web applications and general computer skills • Some travel required for mediations, trials and credit union visits • Understanding of applicable statutes, regulations and case law • Knowledge of financial services operations • Ability to handle claims in multiple states • Adjuster License and Continuing Education as needed • AIC, CPCU or other professional industry education a plus • Project management experience a plus • Prior experience working with Program Third Party Administrators is a plus
