📋 Description

• Independently conduct statistical analyses for assigned observational cohort, registry, and quality studies, including data preparation, cohort definition, and application of appropriate analytic methods • Draft statistical analysis plans (SAPs) for defined studies and contribute to protocol and study design, including sample-size and power calculations • Apply multivariable regression, survival analysis, longitudinal/mixed-effects models, and confounding-adjustment methods appropriate to real-world data • Prepare, clean, link, and quality-control real-world datasets from EHR, claims, and registry sources • Define phenotypes and endpoints using standard code sets such as ICD-10-CM and CPT • Produce validated, reproducible analytic code in SAS and/or R, with tables, listings, and figures for reports and publications • Contribute to abstracts, manuscripts, posters, and grant applications, including methods and results sections • Communicate analytic findings clearly to investigators, clinical leaders, and internal non-technical stakeholders • Report to the Chief Research and Quality Officer

🎯 Requirements

• Required master's degree (MS, MPH, or equivalent) in biostatistics, statistics, epidemiology, or a related quantitative discipline, plus approximately 2–5 years of applied experience; or a doctoral degree (PhD) in a relevant field • Demonstrated ability to independently conduct multivariable and survival analyses and interpret results accurately • Strong proficiency in SAS and/or R, including management of large, complex datasets • Proficiency in SQL • Proficiency and experience with missing-data approaches such as multiple imputation • Experience drafting or substantially contributing to statistical analysis plans • Experience with real-world data sources, including EHR, administrative claims, and clinical registries • Experience with data-linkage or phenotyping methods • Working knowledge of research data governance, HIPAA/PHI handling, and Good Clinical Practice principles • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Willingness to travel up to twice per year for team meetings • Preferred: proficiency with causal-inference and confounding-adjustment methods, including propensity scores, matching, and weighting • Preferred: experience in cardiovascular clinical research, particularly cardiac imaging and/or cardiac procedural care • Preferred: served as biostatistician for 2+ prior outcomes/quality research projects • Preferred: record of contribution to peer-reviewed publications or abstracts • Preferred: proficiency in Power BI for data visualization • Preferred: familiarity with cardiovascular code sets and CMS data conventions
