📋 Description

• Write proposal assignments of varying length and detail across strategic, functional, and operational topics • Collaborate with Capture and Proposal Managers, Proposal Directors, and Subject Matter Experts to prepare final proposal responses • Analyze proposal sections and content to identify connections, ensure alignment, and support a cohesive narrative • Interview subject matter experts to collect information for compliant responses, update resumes, write past performances, and develop proposal responses • Leverage past proposals and the proposal library to establish first drafts • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research and analyze data to formulate client-solution content • Collaborate with Graphic Designers on proposal graphics and visual storytelling • Participate in proposal meetings, color team reviews, and status meetings throughout the proposal process • Develop compliant and compelling proposal responses aligned with internal quality standards, bid guidance, and proposal requirements • Develop creative strategies articulating customer needs and win themes • Maintain expert understanding of Aetna Medicaid products and services • Support the Medicaid Content Library content management lifecycle with subject matter experts • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas that drive innovation and creativity • Build relationships with health plan leaders, proposal peers, and subject matter experts to support winning and retaining business • Support ongoing development of internal processes and procedures, including scorecards, quality business reports, style guides, and performance measures

🎯 Requirements

• Five plus years of experience as a proposal writer or equivalent experience • 3+ years of experience writing healthcare proposals • Excellent written and verbal communications skills • Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office products, including SharePoint, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint • Exceptional organizational, project management, analytical, and innovative problem-solving skills • Ability to travel up to 15% • Experience collaborating across departments and organizational levels • Understanding of Associated Press and internal style guides • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Writing, English, Communications, Healthcare Policy, or equivalent work experience • APMP Bid/Proposal Foundation Certification recommended • Knowledge of domain areas such as provider network, LTSS, Medicare-Duals, and related specialties
