📋 Description

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations across a multi-entity, multi-currency business operating in the US, UK, Ireland, India, Austria, and Australia • Own the month-, quarter-, and year-end close process across all entities • Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and consolidation adjustments • Prepare and review consolidated financial statements, including intercompany eliminations and foreign currency translation • Ensure compliance with US GAAP and support local statutory reporting requirements • Partner with FP&A on forecast inputs, variance analysis, balance sheet, and cash flow support • Serve as primary contact for external auditors and manage PBC lists • Apply and document accounting policies, including ASC 606, leases, stock-based compensation, ASC 8050, and intercompany arrangements • Research and resolve complex accounting questions and escalate significant judgments to the VP of Finance • Coordinate with Tax and external advisors on income tax, VAT/GST, transfer pricing, and payroll-related accounting • Review current accounting processes and identify errors, bottlenecks, and opportunities for simplification, standardization, automation, or AI-agent support • Define the future-state operating model for AI-enabled finance workflows • Partner with Finance leadership, IT, and technology vendors to pilot, validate, and scale agent-enabled workflows • Monitor agent-supported process quality and performance • Build the roadmap and business case for process changes and communicate progress to stakeholders

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelors degree in accounting; CPA a plus • 5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience • Experience in a high-growth or PE/VC-backed environment a plus • Experience implementing AI, RPA, or workflow automation in a finance function • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Excellent understanding of internal controls • Ability to build internal processes that promote accurate financial reporting at scale • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to see the big picture • Ability to partner with cross-functional teams to drive enterprise growth • Excellent problem-solving, critical-thinking, financial-analysis, and data-set-analysis skills • Comfort working across time zones, with flexibility for overlap with Ireland and India • Sound judgment, ownership mindset, and ability to manage competing deadlines
