📋 Description

• Partner with business, data, technology, and governance stakeholders to identify and address data governance needs • Facilitate conversations with data owners and subject-matter experts to establish definitions, ownership, standards, and appropriate data usage • Support development and maintenance of business glossaries, data dictionaries, metadata, data standards, and governance documentation • Identify, analyze, document, and help remediate data-quality issues • Perform hands-on data analysis using SQL or similar tools • Analyze datasets to validate business rules, definitions, completeness, consistency, and accuracy • Translate business requirements into measurable data rules and governance requirements • Support data access, sharing, and usage-governance processes • Build or maintain reporting, dashboards, or metrics for data quality and governance activities • Improve governance workflows and reduce manual or inefficient processes • Communicate findings to technical and nontechnical stakeholders • Move governance initiatives from discussion and documentation into repeatable operational processes

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field required • Approximately 2–5 years of experience in data governance, data analytics, business/data analysis, or a related discipline • Experience working directly with business stakeholders, data owners, technical teams, or senior leadership • Experience in banking, financial services, or another regulated industry is a strong plus • Experience with enterprise data governance or data-quality platforms is a strong plus • Familiarity with Informatica or comparable governance/data-quality tooling is a strong plus • Experience with cloud data platforms or modern data environments is a strong plus • Experience automating data, reporting, or governance workflows is a strong plus • Exposure to master data management, customer data, hierarchy management, or enterprise metadata is a strong plus • Working knowledge of data governance, data quality, metadata and data definitions, data ownership/stewardship, and data access and usage • Hands-on SQL experience and ability to investigate and analyze data independently • Experience with reporting or visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms • Ability to translate between business requirements and technical/data concepts • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Organized, curious, analytical, and comfortable in environments where not every requirement is initially defined • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time • Must be able to exchange accurate information when communicating with clients and coworkers • Must be comfortable working as a 1099 independent contractor, hourly, with no W2 or benefits
