• Receive and process requests for patient health information according to company and facility policies • Maintain confidentiality, security, and HIPAA compliance for privileged patient information • Maintain working knowledge of company and facility software • Adhere to company and customer facility codes of conduct and policies • Inform the manager about work, site difficulties, and fluctuating volumes • Manage patient health records and safeguard patient records • Prepare new patient charts using paper sources and/or electronic health records • Assemble medical records in standard order and ensure accuracy and completeness • Create digital images of paperwork for electronic medical records • Retrieve and appropriately transmit patient records to internal and external requesters • Answer inbound and outbound calls • Assist with patient walk-ins and administrative duties, including faxes, mail, and data entry • Meet site-specific productivity expectations • Schedule pickups as needed • Perform other duties as assigned
• High School Diploma or GED • Ability to commute between locations as needed • Able to work overtime during peak seasons when required • Basic computer proficiency • Comfortable utilizing phones, fax machine, printers, and other general office equipment on a regular basis • Professional verbal and written communication skills in the English language • Detail and quality oriented as it relates to accurate and compliant information for medical records • Strong data entry skills • Must be able to work with minimum supervision responding to changing priorities and role needs • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks • Able to respond to requests in a fast-paced environment • Strong customer service and clerical skills • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel • Comfortable working in a high-volume production environment • Medical office experience preferred • Experience in a healthcare environment • Previous production/metric-based work experience • In-person customer service experience • Ability to build relationships with on-site clients and customers • Comfortable bringing new ideas, process improvement suggestions, and feedback to internal stakeholders • This job is not eligible for employment sponsorship
