📋 Description

• Process all release of information (ROI), specifically medical record requests, in a timely and efficient manner • Safeguard and protect patients’ privacy and ensure only authorized individuals access medical information • Ensure releases of information comply with requests, authorizations, company policy, and HIPAA regulations • Receive and process requests for patient health information according to Company and Facility policies and procedures • Maintain confidentiality and security of privileged information • Maintain working knowledge of Company and facility software • Adhere to Company and customer facility codes of conduct and policies • Inform the manager of work, site difficulties, and fluctuating volumes • Manage patient health records and ensure compliance with HIPAA standards • Prepare new patient charts using paper sources and/or electronic health records • Assemble medical records in standard order and ensure they are accurate and complete • Create digital images of paperwork for storage in electronic medical records • Retrieve and appropriately transmit patient records to internal and external sources • Answer inbound and outbound calls • Assist with patient walk-ins • Handle faxes, open mail, and perform data entry as needed • Meet site-specific productivity expectations • Schedule pick-ups as needed • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED • Ability to commute between locations as needed • Ability to work overtime during peak seasons when required • Basic computer proficiency • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel • Comfortable using phones, fax machines, printers, and other general office equipment • Professional verbal and written communication skills in English • Detail- and quality-oriented approach to accurate, compliant medical records information • Strong data entry skills • Ability to work with minimum supervision and respond to changing priorities • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Comfortable working in a high-volume production environment • No employment sponsorship eligibility
