📋 Description

• Process all release of information requests, specifically medical record requests, accurately and efficiently. • Receive and process patient health information requests according to company and facility policies. • Maintain confidentiality and security of privileged information. • Apply medical privacy regulations and safeguard patient records in compliance with HIPAA. • Manage patient health records and prepare new patient charts. • Gather documents from paper sources and electronic health records. • Assemble medical records in standard order and ensure accuracy and completeness. • Create digital images of paperwork for storage in electronic medical records. • Retrieve and appropriately transmit patient records to internal and external requesters. • Answer inbound and outbound calls and assist with patient walk-ins as needed. • Handle administrative duties such as faxes, mail, and data entry. • Meet site-specific productivity expectations and inform the manager about work, site difficulties, and fluctuating volumes. • Schedule pick-ups as needed and perform other assigned duties.

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED • Ability to commute between locations as needed • Able to work overtime during peak seasons when required • Basic computer proficiency • Comfortable using phones, fax machines, printers, and general office equipment • Professional verbal and written communication skills in English • Strong data entry skills • Detail- and quality-oriented approach to accurate, compliant medical records • Ability to work with minimum supervision and respond to changing priorities • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment • Experience in a healthcare environment (bonus point) • Previous production/metric-based work experience (bonus point) • In-person customer service experience (bonus point) • Ability to build relationships with on-site clients and customers (bonus point) • Ability to suggest process improvements and provide feedback to internal stakeholders (bonus point) • No employment sponsorship eligibility
