📋 Description

• Process release of information, specifically medical record requests, accurately and efficiently • Receive and process patient health information requests according to company and facility policies • Maintain confidentiality, security, and HIPAA compliance for privileged patient information • Maintain working knowledge of company and facility software • Inform the manager about work, site difficulties, and fluctuating volumes • Manage patient health records and safeguard patient records • Prepare new patient charts using paper sources and/or electronic health records • Assemble medical records in standard order and ensure accuracy and completeness • Create digital images of paperwork for electronic medical records • Retrieve and appropriately transmit patient records to internal and external requestors • Answer inbound and outbound calls and provide medical record status • Assist with patient walk-ins when needed • Assist with faxes, opening mail, data entry, and other administrative duties • Schedule pickups when needed • Meet site productivity expectations and perform other assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED • Ability to commute between locations as needed • Ability to work overtime during peak seasons when required • Basic computer proficiency • Proficiency with phones, fax machines, printers, and other general office equipment • Professional verbal and written communication skills in English • Strong data entry skills • Detail- and quality-oriented approach to accurate, compliant medical records • Ability to work with minimum supervision and respond to changing priorities • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Experience in a healthcare environment is a bonus • Previous production/metric-based work experience is a bonus • In-person customer service experience is a bonus
