đź“‹ Description

• Process all release of information (ROI), specifically medical record requests, accurately and efficiently • Receive and process requests for patient health information according to Company and Facility policies and procedures • Maintain confidentiality and security of privileged information • Maintain working knowledge of Company and facility software • Adhere to Company and customer facility codes of conduct and policies • Inform the manager about work, site difficulties, and fluctuating volumes • Manage patient health records and safeguard patient records in compliance with HIPAA • Prepare new patient charts using paper sources and/or electronic health records • Assemble medical records in standard order and ensure they are accurate and complete • Create digital images of paperwork for storage in electronic medical records • Retrieve and appropriately transmit patient records to internal and external requesters • Answer inbound and outbound calls from patients, insurance companies, and attorneys • Assist with patient walk-ins when needed • Assist with faxes, opening mail, data entry, and scheduling pick-ups • Meet site-specific productivity expectations • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED • Ability to commute between locations as needed • Ability to work overtime during peak seasons when required • Basic computer proficiency • Proficiency with phones, fax machines, printers, and general office equipment • Professional verbal and written communication skills in English • Strong data entry skills • Detail- and quality-oriented approach to accurate, compliant medical records • Ability to work with minimum supervision and respond to changing priorities • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Comfortable working in a high-volume production environment • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel • Experience in a healthcare environment is a bonus • Previous production/metric-based work experience is a bonus • In-person customer service experience is a bonus • This job is not eligible for employment sponsorship
