📋 Description

• Process release-of-information requests and medical record requests accurately and efficiently • Safeguard patient privacy and ensure releases comply with authorizations, company policy, and HIPAA regulations • Receive and process patient health information requests according to company and facility procedures • Maintain confidentiality and security of privileged information • Maintain working knowledge of company and facility software • Inform the manager of work, site difficulties, and fluctuating volumes • Manage, safeguard, assemble, and maintain patient health records • Prepare new patient charts using paper sources and/or electronic health records • Ensure medical records are accurate, complete, and assembled in standard order • Create digital images of paperwork for electronic medical records • Retrieve and transmit patient records to authorized internal and external requesters • Answer inbound and outbound calls and assist with patient walk-ins • Handle faxes, mail, data entry, and pickup scheduling as needed • Meet site-specific productivity expectations • Perform other assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED • Must be at least 18 years old • Ability to commute between locations as needed • Able to work overtime during peak seasons when required • Basic computer proficiency • Comfortable utilizing phones, fax machine, printers, and other general office equipment • Professional verbal and written communication skills in the English language • This job is not eligible for employment sponsorship • Preferred Customer Service and Data Entry and Release of Information experience • Experience in a healthcare environment is a bonus • Previous production/metric-based work experience is a bonus • In-person customer service experience is a bonus
