📋 Description

• Receive and process requests for patient health information according to company and facility policies and procedures • Maintain confidentiality and security of privileged information • Maintain working knowledge of company and facility software • Adhere to company and customer-facility codes of conduct and policies • Inform manager of work, site difficulties, and fluctuating volumes • Assist with additional duties and responsibilities as required • Apply medical privacy regulations consistently to prevent unauthorized disclosure • Manage and safeguard patient health records and ensure HIPAA compliance • Prepare new patient charts using paper sources and/or electronic health records • Assemble medical records in standard order and ensure accuracy and completeness • Create digital images of paperwork for electronic medical records • Respond to internal and external patient-record requests by retrieving and transmitting records appropriately • Answer inbound and outbound calls • May assist with patient walk-ins • May assist with faxes, mail opening, and data entry • Meet site-specific productivity expectations • May schedule pick-ups • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED • Ability to commute between locations as needed • Able to work overtime during peak seasons when required • Basic computer proficiency • Comfortable utilizing phones, fax machine, printers, and other general office equipment regularly • Professional verbal and written communication skills in English • Detail and quality oriented regarding accurate and compliant medical-record information • Strong data entry skills • Ability to work with minimum supervision and respond to changing priorities and role needs • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks • Able to respond to requests in a fast-paced environment • This job is not eligible for employment sponsorship
