đź“‹ Description

• Process release-of-information requests and medical record requests accurately and efficiently • Take inbound and outbound calls from patients, insurance companies, and attorneys • Provide medical-record request status information • Document information across multiple platforms using two computer monitors • Maintain confidentiality and security of privileged information • Apply medical privacy regulations and safeguard against unauthorized disclosure • Manage, safeguard, and maintain patient health records in compliance with HIPAA standards • Prepare new patient charts using paper and electronic health-record sources • Assemble medical records in standard order and verify accuracy and completeness • Create digital images of paperwork for storage in electronic medical records • Retrieve and appropriately transmit patient records to internal and external requesters • Assist with patient walk-ins and administrative duties such as faxes, mail, and data entry • Inform the manager about work, site difficulties, and fluctuating volumes • Meet site-specific productivity expectations • Schedule pickups as needed • Perform other assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED • Ability to commute between locations as needed • Able to work overtime during peak seasons when required • Basic computer proficiency • Comfortable utilizing phones, fax machine, printers, and other general office equipment • Professional verbal and written communication skills in the English language • Detail and quality oriented regarding accurate and compliant medical-record information • Strong data entry skills • Ability to work with minimum supervision and respond to changing priorities • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks • Ability to respond to requests in a fast-paced environment • Not eligible for employment sponsorship • Experience in a healthcare environment (bonus) • Previous production/metric-based work experience (bonus) • In-person customer service experience (bonus) • Ability to build relationships with on-site clients and customers (bonus) • Ability to bring process-improvement suggestions and feedback to internal stakeholders (bonus)
