📋 Description

• Process release of information and medical record requests accurately and efficiently • Receive and process requests for patient health information according to company and facility policies • Maintain confidentiality and security of privileged patient information • Apply medical privacy regulations and ensure HIPAA compliance • Manage, safeguard, assemble, and maintain patient health records • Prepare new patient charts using paper sources and electronic health records • Create digital images of paperwork for electronic medical records • Retrieve and appropriately transmit patient records to internal and external requesters • Answer inbound and outbound calls from patients, insurance companies, and attorneys • Document information across multiple platforms using two computer monitors • Handle faxes, mail opening, data entry, and other administrative duties as needed • Inform the manager about work, site difficulties, and fluctuating volumes • Meet site-specific productivity expectations • Schedule pickups when required • Assist with patient walk-ins and perform other assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED • Ability to commute between locations as needed • Ability to work overtime during peak seasons when required • Basic computer proficiency • Comfortable using phones, fax machines, printers, and other general office equipment regularly • Professional verbal and written communication skills in English • Detail- and quality-oriented approach to accurate, compliant medical-record information • Strong data entry skills • Ability to work with minimum supervision and respond to changing priorities • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks • Ability to respond to requests in a fast-paced environment • Experience in a healthcare environment is a bonus • Previous production/metric-based work experience is a bonus • In-person customer service experience is a bonus • Ability to build relationships with on-site clients and customers is a bonus • Ability to contribute process-improvement ideas and feedback to internal stakeholders is a bonus • This job is not eligible for employment sponsorship
