📋 Description

• Process release of information and medical record requests accurately and efficiently • Receive and process patient health information according to company and facility policies • Maintain confidentiality and security of privileged information • Apply medical privacy regulations and ensure HIPAA compliance • Manage, safeguard, assemble, and maintain patient health records • Prepare new patient charts using paper and electronic health record sources • Create digital images of paperwork for electronic medical records • Retrieve and transmit patient records to internal and external requesters • Answer inbound and outbound calls and provide medical record status • Document information across multiple platforms using two computer monitors • Inform the manager about work, site difficulties, and fluctuating volumes • Assist with patient walk-ins and administrative duties such as faxes, mail, and data entry • Schedule pickups as needed • Meet site-specific productivity expectations and perform other assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED • Ability to commute between locations as needed • Ability to work overtime during peak seasons when required • Basic computer proficiency • Comfortable using phones, fax machines, printers, and general office equipment • Professional verbal and written communication skills in English • Detail- and quality-oriented approach to medical records • Strong data entry skills • Ability to work with minimum supervision and respond to changing priorities • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment • This job is not eligible for employment sponsorship • Experience in a healthcare environment (bonus) • Previous production/metric-based work experience (bonus) • In-person customer service experience (bonus) • Ability to build relationships with on-site clients and customers (bonus) • Ability to suggest process improvements and provide feedback to internal stakeholders (bonus)
