đź“‹ Description
• Receive and process requests for patient health information in accordance with Company and Facility policies and procedures • Maintain confidentiality and security with all privileged information • Maintain working knowledge of Company and facility software • Adhere to the Company's and Customer facilities Code of Conduct and policies • Inform manager of work, site difficulties, and/or fluctuating volumes • Assist with additional work duties or responsibilities as evident or required • Apply medical privacy regulations consistently to guard against unauthorized disclosure • Manage patient health records • Safeguard patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA standards • Prepare new patient charts using paper sources and/or electronic health records • Assemble medical records in standard order and ensure they are accurate and complete • Create digital images of paperwork for storage in electronic medical records • Respond to internal and external requests for patient records, retrieving and transmitting them appropriately • Answer inbound and outbound calls • Assist with patient walk-ins when needed • Assist with administrative duties such as handling faxes, opening mail, and data entry • Meet productivity expectations • Schedule pick-ups when needed • Perform other duties as assigned • Process medical record requests from patients, insurance companies, and attorneys • Document information in multiple platforms using two computer monitors
🎯 Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED • Ability to commute between locations as needed • Ability to work overtime during peak seasons when required • Basic computer proficiency • Comfortable using phones, fax machines, printers, and other general office equipment regularly • Professional verbal and written communication skills in English • Detail- and quality-oriented approach to accurate, compliant medical-record information • Strong data entry skills • Ability to work with minimum supervision while responding to changing priorities and role needs • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks • Ability to respond to requests in a fast-paced environment • Must meet productivity expectations • Experience in a healthcare environment is a bonus • Previous production/metric-based work experience is a bonus • In-person customer service experience is a bonus • Ability to build relationships with on-site clients and customers is a bonus • Ability to bring process-improvement suggestions and feedback to internal stakeholders is a bonus • This job is not eligible for employment sponsorship
