📋 Description

• Process release-of-information and medical record requests accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with authorization, company policy, facility policy, and HIPAA regulations • Receive and process requests for patient health information • Maintain confidentiality and security of privileged information • Maintain working knowledge of company and facility software • Adhere to company and customer facility codes of conduct and policies • Inform the manager about work, site difficulties, and fluctuating volumes • Assist with additional duties and responsibilities as required • Manage patient health records and safeguard records under HIPAA standards • Prepare new patient charts using paper and/or electronic health record sources • Assemble medical records in standard order and ensure they are accurate and complete • Create digital images of paperwork for electronic medical records • Retrieve and appropriately transmit patient records to internal and external requesters • Answer inbound and outbound calls from patients, insurance companies, and attorneys • Provide medical record request status • Assist with patient walk-ins when needed • Handle faxes, open mail, perform data entry, and schedule pickups as needed • Meet site-specific productivity expectations • Work with minimum supervision and changing priorities

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED • Ability to commute between locations as needed • Able to work overtime during peak seasons when required • Basic computer proficiency • Comfortable utilizing phones, fax machine, printers, and other general office equipment regularly • Professional verbal and written communication skills in English • Detail and quality oriented regarding accurate and compliant medical records information • Strong data entry skills • Able to work with minimum supervision and respond to changing priorities and role needs • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks • Able to respond to requests in a fast-paced environment • This job is not eligible for employment sponsorship • May be subject to post-offer health screenings and proof and/or completion of vaccinations as required by clients • Bonus: Experience in a healthcare environment • Bonus: Previous production/metric-based work experience • Bonus: In-person customer service experience • Bonus: Ability to build relationships with on-site clients and customers • Bonus: Comfortable bringing new ideas, process improvement suggestions, and feedback to internal stakeholders
