• Advocate for patients and assist with updating primary insurance • Ensure timely and accurate submission of insurance claims • Collect payments on outstanding patient balances • Perform revenue operations duties related to medical insurance billing, collections, or patient access • Communicate with patients and insurance payers regarding coverage and reimbursement for dialysis services • Review and submit system setup requests to ensure center and payer information is loaded accurately into the billing system • Respond timely and accurately to payer communications • Collaborate with revenue operations teams to ensure seamless processes • Partner with insurance counselors, social workers, and facility administrators • Identify process changes and continuous improvement opportunities • Maintain current patient account information • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and DaVita policies • Attend team meetings, phone conferences, and training as needed
• RCM/ROPS experience required • Patient contact/customer service experience required • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills • Ability to adapt quickly and manage stress • Relationship-building skills • High school diploma or equivalent • Basic computer skills • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook • Must have ROPS revenue cycle management experience • Ability to work overtime as needed • Ability to attend team meetings, phone conferences, and training as needed • Must follow teammate guidelines, employment policies, and department or company procedures
