• Process patient insurance information through the patient intake process • Collect payments on outstanding patient balances • Resolve credits when payer overpayments require refunds • Perform revenue operations duties involving medical insurance collections, credits, or patient insurance coverage • Communicate with insurance payers to ensure proper coverage and timely, accurate reimbursement for dialysis services • Respond to payer communications • Collaborate with revenue operations teams • Partner with insurance counselors, social workers, and facility administrators • Identify process changes and continuous improvement opportunities • Maintain current patient account information • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and DaVita policies • Work overtime as needed • Attend team meetings, phone conferences, and training • Follow teammate guidelines, employment policies, and department or company procedures
• High school diploma or equivalent • Basic computer skills • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to adapt quickly and demonstrate resiliency • Ability to take ownership of a book of business and work through a queue • Understanding and embracing DaVita culture • Revenue cycle health insurance claim experience preferred
