📋 Description

• Responsible for proactively generating new mortgage business and promoting Empower FCU's mortgage products. • Guide borrowers through the pre-qualification and pre-approval process, offering expert counseling, and assisting with loan applications. • Manage the issuance of required disclosure packages, gather necessary documentation, order required services, and perform financial calculations. • Ensure timely submission to underwriting to facilitate timely commitment letter issuance while adhering to regulatory guidelines. • Maintain a steady pipeline of loan applications and communicate regularly with applicants to guide them through the loan process. • Cultivate relationships with realtors, builders, and third-party partners to drive mortgage originations. • Leverage proprietary lending software and tools to analyze credit, underwriting, and financial information.

🎯 Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience as a mortgage loan officer • Ability to self-source business development by maintaining relationships with real estate agents, builders, attorneys and other centers of influence • An associate's degree in business, Finance, or a related field • The candidate must be able to qualify and maintain licensing through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) • Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record • Proven ability to negotiate and close mortgage deals • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Encompass, Nautilus, and SalesForce • Strong understanding of underwriting requirements and experience with various mortgage products • Ability to interpret credit reports, appraisals, and other financial documents • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
