Deeplocal is a Pittsburgh-based creative technology studio that designs and builds interactive brand experiences, installations, and digital campaigns for clients such as Taco Bell, Google Cloud, and Torani. The firm blends experience design, physical hardware and creative technology to produce marketing activations, case-study projects, and immersive installations, and operates as a division of Wire & Plastic Products.

📋 Description

• Own and remain accountable for technical context, decisions, architectural planning, and feasibility decisions for integrated and creative technology components of large-scale projects. • Make final creative technology and software development decisions, including when to use outside vendors or specializations. • Serve as technical lead on large-scale projects, exhibits, or projects comprising multiple exhibits. • Work with production and integration teams to develop pre-production timelines, schedules, and budgets. • Track project progress and deliverables and uphold schedules with the project manager or producer. • Perform, test, and implement software development while delegating components to other team members. • Research problem-solving pathways and prototype high-risk or unknown components. • Lead small developer teams and potentially manage direct reports. • Develop resource plans. • Contribute to and guide concept creation and ideation with the creative team throughout production. • Provide internal and external thought leadership representing Deeplocal as a Creative Technology leader. • Mentor direct reports and other employees. • Develop and maintain creative technology freelancer resources. • Contribute to Creative Technology processes, team structure, and hiring decisions.

🎯 Requirements

• Typical, but not required years of experience: 7+ yrs. • Strong working understanding of technical considerations outside of core Creative Technology expertise, including electrical and mechanical engineering, fabrication and procurement, architecture and construction, AV, and integration with third-party hardware/software. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Confident presentation skills and comfort being very client facing. • Expert-level software development skills in either fullstack web development or TouchDesigner, with general knowledge and understanding of the other. • Familiarity with a wide range of creative software development tools and desire to get hands-on with those tools. • Qualified remote candidates must be willing to travel to Pittsburgh as required.
