📋 Description

• Team lead architecting, building, and supporting UNIX solutions and acts as a lead DBA using InterSystems Cache. • Organizes installation of UNIX servers, prepares plan for technology refresh program of data center infrastructure working with vendors and staff to ensure minimal downtime. • Responsible for configuration and management of Cache databases. • Works closely with Network Engineers/Admins to ensure compliance with organization's goals and objectives of having an innovative, redundant infrastructure allowing for business continuance and disaster recovery. • Must have demonstrated experience in SAN connected servers, Fiber Channel networking and HP-UX or IBM AIX. • Must be knowledgeable in DHCP, DNS and TCP/IP. • Must work with network engineers/admins to develop a security plan using virus scanning, firewalls and IDS/IPS. • User support functions include 3rd thru 4th level support, and assistance to end users from all client locations. • Responsible for administering backups for servers and monitoring backup jobs to ensure completion, and testing of data restores, storage and replication in a SAN/NAS environment required.

• 5+ years of UNIX experience. • Excellent communication skills (oral and written). • Excellent customer service skills. • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • Ability to manage multiple tasks. • Ability to work individually or as a member of a team. • Ability to work under pressure. • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline. • Experience working in an Epic environment. • Relational Database Administration Experience. • Previous System Administration Experience. • Minimum of 5 years UNIX administration technical experience in an Enterprise class environment. • Epic or InterSystems professional certifications.
