📋 Description

• Commission, maintain, and provide emergency support for power electronics at customer sites within the regional coverage area • Provide technical assistance to customers onsite and by phone • Perform general and preventive maintenance on Uninterruptible Power Supply systems • Analyze equipment issues, provide troubleshooting recommendations, and deliver escalated technical support • Respond to customer emergency calls • Strive to achieve a first-time fix for customer equipment • Communicate accurately and promptly with internal and external customers • Stay current on Safety Field Change Notices and Service Tips • Submit accurate and timely expense reports and Field Service Reports

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's or Technical Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or equivalent military training • 3-5+ years of experience in this field • Ability to troubleshoot down to component level on UPS, batteries, PDU’s / Power Distribution Units, Static Automatic Transfer Switches, Branch Circuit Monitoring, and other electrical equipment • Working knowledge of Ohm's law and electronic theory required • Prior field service experience required • 3 phase/480v experience required • Familiarity with electrical/electronic test equipment and fundamentals • Ability to read and interpret electrical line diagrams and blueprints • Ability to evaluate the operating conditions of equipment • Standard computer skills including MS Outlook, Word, and Excel • Mechanical aptitude • Clear, concise, written and verbal communication skills • Ability to interact comfortably with all levels of internal and external customers • Ability and self-motivation to manage one's own schedule • UPS OEM factory training or experience in Liebert (Vertiv) / Emerson, APC / MGE, Eaton / Powerware, Toshiba, or Mitsubishi is a plus • Previous military experience and training is a plus
