📋 Description

• Perform technical tasks within the pharmacy department of the Health Plan under general supervision of the pharmacy technician supervisor • Answer inbound phone calls • Make outbound phone calls • Process faxed, electronic, or verbal prior authorizations • Perform basic computer system operations • Work competently in different areas of pharmacy practice • Apply call center functions and etiquette when taking or making phone calls • Document all inbound and outbound phone calls • Implement prior authorization decisions based on criteria and send to clinical review when appropriate • Triage and escalate prior authorizations, questions, or issues outside the pharmacy technician scope of practice to the direct supervisor or pharmacist on duty

🎯 Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required • Post high School diploma or certificate program completion of a pharmacy technician training program, preferred • At least one year of pharmacy technician experience in a healthcare or retail setting required • CPHT-Certified Pharmacy Technician - PTCB - Pharmacy Technician Certification Board required • PHAT-Licensed Pharmacy Technician - DORA - Department of Regulatory Agencies required • Ability to work as a team member • Attention to detail • Knowledge of basic pharmacy practices and procedures • Mathematical computation skills • Organization and communication skills • Good typing, keyboarding and proofreading skills • Ability to work independently within a remote setting • Knowledge of prescription processing and third-party billing, if applicable • Proficiency with Microsoft® Office, preferred • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously based off compliance times or due dates • Must live in Colorado
