📋 Description

• Always maintain a high level of safety awareness • Climb heights 300 ft. and greater several times daily • Diagnose and resolve faults on turbines as they relate to mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems • Perform troubleshooting to identify the root cause of an issue and perform corrective actions or open a service case with equipment manufacturer • Perform energy isolation in accordance with all Lock Out / Tag Out Procedures • Perform pad mounted Transformer switching in accordance with all Hazardous Energy Controls Procedures • Perform small or large corrective tasks on wind turbines • Perform preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, performance monitoring and evaluation • Maintain all aspects (e.g., electrical, mechanical, civil, etc.) of turbines in a safe, high quality, and efficient manner • Maintain EH&S Documentation and complete necessary paperwork within Maximo

🎯 Requirements

• Wind Technician - Level I: High School/GED • Ability to complete Level I job performance measures and training Deriva Energy renewables academy within 1 year • Wind Technician - Level II: High School/GED External Candidates - (3+) years of related work experience • Wind Technician - Level II: Must pass required Turbine Technician I and Electrical Operator I JPMs within the probationary period. • Wind Technician - Level II: Internal Candidates - (1+) year of technical experience with Deriva Energy as a Wind Technician • Wind Technician - Level III: High school/GED External Candidates - (3+) years of related work experience • Wind Technician - Level III: Must pass required Turbine Technician II and Electrical Operator I & II JPMs within the probationary period • Wind Technician - Level III: Internal Candidates - (1+) year of technical experience with Deriva Energy as a Wind Technician • AAS degree or certification in Wind/Renewable Energy or applicable field of study • Experience with Vestas V82 and V90 turbines • High voltage and substation maintenance experience • Familiarity with mechanical and electronic testing equipment • Knowledge of heavy equipment for facility maintenance • Competent with Maximo EZ Max mobile work and My Time management systems • Microsoft Office Including Excel/Word/PowerPoint • CPR and AED Training Certification • TSL tower climber and rescue & EEM training • Forklift certified • Valid Driver’s License required • Must pass a background check and drug test prior to hire
