📋 Description

• The DE will provide support through the design project life cycle from sales concept to design development, construction drawings to construction administration support. • Contributor for complex engagements and works directly with clients and the Design Engineering team to develop specifications, designs, budgets, timelines and manage expectations. • Conceptualize system designs and determine system requirements. • Provide technical expertise and coordination information to support the architecture, installation and planning of electronic security solutions. • Develop ESS project estimates and proposals. • Develop the Bill of Materials (BOM) and supporting documentation. • Develop detailed 30%, 60%, 90% and IFC drawings. • Research, identify, and recommend technology options for clients. • Maintains expertise in the industry through ongoing review of trade publications, participation in industry trade shows, seminars and educational forums. May author articles and/or analyze trends. • Provides direction and counsel to junior personnel in engineering projects and guides issue resolution.

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required • Associates degree required and/or equivalent experience. • Proficient in AutoCAD, BIM and MS Office 365 • Certifications or training with Milestone and Lenel preferred • Certifications or training with in Genetec, Avigilon and S2 preferred • Bachelor’s degree preferred • 5+ years of experience in technical systems designing • Ability to get a government issued Top Secret Clearance (US-based only) • A clear understanding of project phases Program, Conceptualization, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documentation, Construction and Commissioning. • A thorough, demonstrable understanding of the construction process, installation and integration as well as architectural and construction drawings and specifications.
