📋 Description

• Support mission-critical projects focused on building automation systems, power management systems, controls integration, and smart building solutions • Provide technical and project leadership for planning and design of BAS/PMS and integrated control systems • Develop and maintain DLB controls, BAS, EPMS, and specification standards • Oversee subconsultant scopes of work, statements of objectives, construction drawings, and technical specifications • Review subconsultant deliverables for completeness, accuracy, project alignment, codes, and regulations using the DLB QA/QC process • Coordinate with project teams and external partners to monitor scope compliance, quality, and timely delivery • Create and manage design drawings, sequences of operations, and specifications • Assist with engineering drawings in AutoCAD and Revit, including floor plans, system architecture diagrams, point-to-point wiring diagrams, and control panel diagrams • Coordinate BAS-related items with MEP trades • Identify potential scope changes and develop strategies to minimize cost and schedule impacts • Manage project deliverables when not serving as lead design engineer • Develop and document BAS and EPMS production standards and specification sections with the BIM team • Review standards and provide staff training, guidance, and implementation support • Manage and review shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, punch lists, and project closeout documents • Assist with onsite BAS engineering audits, feasibility studies, and retrofit surveys • Prepare and oversee project progress reports and departmental reports • Handle project contract administration • Leverage AI-enabled and digital tools to improve efficiency and work quality • Coordinate with engineering, project management, contractors, vendors, software engineers, client representatives, and outsource partners • Serve as technical lead or point of contact on moderate- to complex-scope projects • Coordinate the work of engineering and production staff

🎯 Requirements

• B.A./B.S. degree in Engineering, construction, or related disciplines • Minimum of 5 years of experience in BAS controls systems engineering • Advanced knowledge of open-source protocols including BACnet, Modbus, and SNMP • Knowledge of IoT and smart building solutions • Knowledge of typical data center control redundancy strategies • Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in construction of mission-critical or commercial buildings • Skilled in Revit and AutoCAD • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams • Ability to leverage AI and emerging technologies to streamline workflows and optimize processes • Ability to work successfully in a remote environment • Ability to identify and analyze complex problems and implement effective solutions • Ability to follow company and site safety requirements • Ability to analyze and prepare documents, reports, and correspondence • Effective oral and written communication of technical and non-technical information • Ability to communicate directly with clients and serve as primary client contact when needed • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with moderate supervision • Ability to plan and delegate the work of others • Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously • Ability to remain stationary frequently, move through office/facility environments, and occasionally move equipment weighing up to 25 pounds • Approximately 10% travel to client sites, partner offices, or company events across the U.S.
