• Provide various field technical services for the inspection, audits, joint use permitting and attachments, damage assessment, and safety of electric distribution facilities. • Responsible for project management, training, and mentoring. • Collect and analyze field data and prepare accurate and detailed reports and records. • Learn, practice, and promote ALL safety policies and procedures 100% of the time. • Identify electric distribution facilities and third-party facilities (Fiber, CATV, Comm) and ownership. • Act as a liaison between client on of third-party attachment projects. • Execute and plan daily goals while meeting quality, time constraints. • Maintain consistent quality data while achieving production standards. • Operate customer based proprietary software and other computer systems to expedite and facilitate the work order process. • Perform field audits of existing electric utility facilities. • Perform research to identify pole ownership, right of way, property rights, and permit requirements for proposed. • Collect field data by visually inspecting, identifying, and recording equipment and structures in the field. • Utilize measuring equipment including laser rangefinders, fiberglass hot sticks, measuring wheels. • Participate in routing, pre & post ride outs of projects. • Working knowledge of the National Electric Safety Code(s).
• High school diploma/GED is required • Working knowledge of design, and/or power distribution systems, CATV and Comm systems. • Five + years of experience or relative equivalent is required. • Proficient user of Microsoft Office based applications. • Working knowledge of documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. • Self-motivated- must be able to work well independently. • Capable of independent work and time management. • Overnight travel during the week will be required. • Effective oral and written communication skills. • Ability to clearly communicate with client/customer/office personnel regarding the scope of work • Ability to constructively manage multiple tasks. • Possess valid driver’s license and vehicle suitable for business use (mileage reimbursement may apply). • Ability to participate in storm restoration activities as a “Driver”, “Wire Guard” or “Assessor” if needed.
