• Conduct in-depth research, curation, and interpretation of scientific data from drug discovery-related scientific and patent literature • Maintain rigor and accuracy in data curation and analysis and in constructing databases • Interpret chemical structures and biological data • Contribute to data research and curation across a range of projects • Maintain familiarity with the biopharmaceutical industry, including the R&D process from target discovery to commercialization and key players in the drug discovery and development ecosystem • Contribute to a positive culture within the Scientific and Data teams aligned with company mission and values • Perform other related tasks as necessary to support Drug Hunter’s Scientific and Data teams and associated functions • Report to a Scientific Director
• Authorization to work in the employee’s location; Drug Hunter cannot provide US visa/Green Card sponsorship or related support relevant to the employee’s location • Strong track record of data curation, with an understanding of patent processes and patent databases • Ability to interpret chemical structures and biological data • Familiarity with ChemDraw or similar chemical drawing software • Experience using spreadsheets such as Excel, Google Sheets, or LibreOffice Calc • Familiarity with scientific databases and chemoinformatics resources such as PubChem, PubMed, ClinicalTrials.gov, ChEMBL, SureChEMBL, etc. • Basic understanding of regulatory agencies and their databases, such as the FDA • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities with technical and non-technical audiences • Fluency in English • Comfort working in a fast-paced, collaborative startup environment across disciplines and tackling novel challenges • Digital fluency with social media, software, new technologies, and platforms • Demonstrated ability to learn new fields quickly and work with agility in a growth environment • Basic understanding of Python for data processing and automation preferred • B.S. or M.S. (or equivalent) in organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, or chemical biology • 3–5 years of experience focused on data curation • Biotechnology or pharmaceutical company experience preferred
