📋 Description

• Review genetic test orders for completeness, accuracy, and appropriateness • Facilitate test setup by linking relative samples and positive controls and completing configuration tasks • Document order details and updates in internal systems • Identify issues and place tests on hold for downstream processing • Notify clients about issues and document resolution steps • Respond to patient and provider hold inquiries by phone and email • Resolve discrepancies and missing information with clients to support clinical protocols • Process referrals and coordinate patient scheduling for genetic counseling • Support the Patient Counseling Team with follow-up tasks and selected test holds • Maintain knowledge of test ordering, setup, and appointment scheduling systems • Escalate novel, complex, or atypical cases to supervisors or genetic counselors • Meet or exceed assigned productivity standards and perform other departmental duties

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; preferred disciplines include Biology, Medical Technology, Healthcare, or a related scientific field • Ability to work independently and collaboratively • Strong verbal and written communication skills • High proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications • Professional-level mathematical reasoning, computer literacy, and language-based communication • Ability to focus and manage complex tasks in a remote setting with multiple concurrent priorities • Foundational knowledge of Genetic Counseling Assistance preferred but not required • Must be able to work Tuesday–Saturday, 8:00am–4:30pm ET, or Monday–Friday, 1:30pm–10:00pm ET • Ability to occasionally lift or move materials or equipment weighing up to 20 pounds during travel or team visits
