• Complete regularly scheduled quality assurance reviews for clients • Complete onboarding quality assurance reviews for newly hired consultants • Provide training for newly hired coding consultants as needed • Communicate quality issues to management • Assist with identification, drafting, implementation, and monitoring of quality improvement action plans • Maintain reports and accuracy rates for coding consultants and clients • Respond to client quality-assurance needs at management’s direction • Provide educational sessions on error trends to coding consultants • Notify management of compliance concerns or incidents • Handle patient information appropriately while maintaining confidentiality and discretion • Attend educational conference calls • Provide coding support to the business as needed • Perform other project duties as needed • Maintain required productivity and quality requirements • Maintain coding credential requirements • Complete quality assurance reviews of outpatient coding specialists or external providers across facility-based chart types • Validate accurate data abstraction into client electronic medical record systems • Follow ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, AMA CPT, and CMS coding guidance • Track and trend educational opportunities and report quality results • Provide educational support and training to coders and providers • Maintain a coding auditing accuracy rate of 95% or better while meeting productivity standards
• Candidate must possess an approved AHIMA or AAPC coding credential • Minimum 4 years’ coding experience required • Specialty experience may be preferred as per specific client needs • Minimum 2 years of auditing experience preferred • Recommend at least 2 years of remote experience • Applicants for U.S. based positions must be legally authorized to work in the United States • Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire • Visa sponsorship is not available • Knowledge of HIPAA Privacy and Security Regulations • Knowledge of Official ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Guidelines for Coding • Knowledge of AMA CPT Guidelines and CMS directives • Strong collaboration skills • Strong analytic and problem-solving abilities and techniques • Consistent initiative with strong drive for results and success • Commitment to a team environment • Well-developed written, verbal, and presentation communication skills • Deep listening and attention to detail • Ability to self-motivate and self-direct • Strong time management and organizational skills • Commitment and adherence to company Core Values • High level of integrity and ethical judgment • Communication, consistency and reliability, and meeting standards
