📋 Description

• Review management system manuals and associated documentation for compliance with requirements and applicable codes and/or standards • Plan, schedule, and conduct initial, surveillance, and re-certification audits • Prepare and maintain audit logs and all other required documentation • Prepare and issue reports and recommendations for certification • Lead introductory and closing meetings at client facilities • Maintain audit independence • Complete audit reports and other required post-audit activities • Perform other necessary duties within experience and capabilities as required • Report to the Operations, Country, or District Manager; no direct reports

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or recognized equivalent from an accredited university, preferably in an engineering/technical discipline, or equivalent quality experience • Previous experience with Social Accountability, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Environmental, or Safety & Health related activities, including auditing experience • Minimum three (3) years of industry experience, typically in Health & Safety (risk management) and/or knowledge of labor legislation • Previous experience with Social Accountability audits including SA 8000 (must), SEDEX, SMETA, and CSR • Familiarity with appropriate system standards • Competence in the areas to be assessed • Comfortable with extensive domestic travel (50%+) • Excellent decision-making and organization skills • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Ability to work with moderate supervision • Teamwork • Concern for accuracy and timeliness of work performed • Flexibility in achieving duties • Working knowledge of the SAI and/or SEDEX databases • Ability to obtain working knowledge of the ABS Quality Evaluations Quality & Environmental Management System • APSCA CSCA status preferred
