📋 Description

• Lead the engineering and design of high voltage electrical substation projects • Guide a multidisciplinary team of drafters, designers, and engineers • Manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet quality, schedule, and budget objectives • Direct and coordinate project activities for timely completion • Develop and update one-line diagrams, electrical plans, and specifications • Perform ground grid design, relay coordination, transformer sizing, load flow, and short circuit analysis using engineering software • Collaborate with customers, project teams, management, and vendors throughout project execution • Prepare and manage project schedules and budgets, addressing deviations promptly • Ensure compliance with NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE, and ANSI standards • Use the document management system effectively • Identify project issues and provide solutions • Travel as required for project needs and perform additional duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution, with a preference for a focus on power systems • Minimum of 5 years of experience in high voltage (230kV and above) electrical substation engineering and design • Advanced understanding of high voltage electrical substation components, AC/DC fundamentals, and three-phase power systems • Proficiency in engineering software for design and analysis tasks • Ability to produce and interpret design documents and drawings necessary for project execution • Proven ability to supervise a technical team and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders • Competent in word processing, spreadsheet, and email applications • Familiarity with GIS is a plus
