📋 Description

• Make outbound calls to students and references to counsel them on options for managing student loans and keeping or bringing loans current through payment, forbearance or deferment • Communicate with borrowers by telephone, mail and/or email about their responsibilities and the consequences of default • Receive predictive telephone dialer system transfers and handle them within required measures • Maintain clear, concise and accurate documentation of borrower accounts, including all contact made and received • Maintain current and accurate knowledge of laws and regulations affecting student-loan repayment, consequences of default, and payment/deferment options • Update loan status in the system of record • Participate in work group activities to solve problems or improve processes • Perform other related duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• High School diploma or GED • 1+ year of office/business, clerical or customer service experience • 1 year of call center experience (preferred) • 1 year of financial industry experience, including student loans, collections and/or banking (preferred) • Bilingual in Spanish and English (preferred) • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
