📋 Description

• Support back-office financial and accounting operations for a portfolio of schools • Manage accounts payable, payroll, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, grants administration, and financial compliance • Collaborate with School Finance Specialists to maintain accounting books and schedules • Produce monthly financial statements • Assist with audit preparation • Complete annual 1099 issuance and other ad-hoc reports • Liaise with school staff • Independently manage payroll and accounts payable for multiple schools • Learn and execute key parts of the monthly accounting close cycle, including grants administration, journal entries, account reconciliations, and bank reconciliations • Support annual financial audit processes • Take increased ownership of day-to-day accounting and finance activities for assigned schools

🎯 Requirements

• Strong organization and time management skills • Intermediate Excel knowledge, including formulas such as VLOOKUP and SUMIFS • Quantitative or technical background through experience or coursework • Strong attention to detail • General comfort with technology systems, including Google Suite and financial systems • Openness to leveraging new technology, especially AI tools • Coursework or experience in business, economics, finance, or accounting • Post-secondary educational experience and/or relevant work experience typically held by Finance Analysts • Ability to communicate proactively and recognize how work connects to internal and external stakeholders • Ability to collaborate with colleagues at all organizational levels • Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned work • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
