📋 Description

• Guide students and families through academic planning, extracurricular development, testing strategy, and application timelines • Conduct regular meetings and maintain ongoing communication with students and families • Help students build competitive long-term profiles aligned with academic interests, intended majors, and target universities • Advise students on positioning stories, achievements, activities, and essays across the UC application system and Common App • Serve as a trusted advisor for families throughout the admissions journey • Monitor student progress and identify gaps or missed milestones • Intervene strategically to keep students on track • Collaborate with Essay Editing, Client Success, and internal leadership teams • Serve as the primary point of contact for a caseload of students and families • Focus on high-level coaching and admissions strategy rather than logistics or administrative coordination

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of college admissions coaching, counseling, or mentoring experience required • Experience as an Independent Educational Consultant (IEC) strongly preferred • Experience independently managing the full college admissions counseling process from start to finish • Experience with academic planning, extracurricular and activities planning, major and college selection, application strategy, and college application advising • Deep familiarity with UC and CSU admissions systems, including PIQs and admissions positioning • Strong understanding of Top 100 U.S. universities and admissions strategy • Ability to manage multiple students and families while maintaining high-quality communication and strategic oversight • Comfortable leading Zoom meetings, delivering feedback, recording video feedback, and building trust with students and parents • Comfortable using Zoom, Google Drive, Slack, Calendly, Loom, and modern AI-powered systems and tools • Resume, application questionnaire responses, and a short video introduction required for application
