📋 Description

• Engage with healthcare providers, researchers, professional organization leaders and population-based decision makers to exchange scientific, medical and clinical information • Serve as the primary clinical/scientific resource to healthcare providers in the assigned territory • Communicate accurate and updated clinical, scientific and medical information between KOLs/investigators and Medical Affairs and development groups • Establish and maintain peer relationships with KOLs in relevant therapeutic areas • Participate in scientific exchanges and interactions with KOLs • Present clinical, scientific and economic data on Eisai products and therapeutic areas • Support assigned professional congresses and lead congress coverage efforts as required • Identify and report scientific, clinical and research insights from KOLs to Medical Affairs • Develop, implement and present territory plans supporting Medical Affairs strategy • Maintain current knowledge of disease states, study methodology, clinical information and product data • Execute approved medical platforms, strategies and MSL initiatives • Provide technical/scientific subject matter support to commercial personnel when requested • Teach, coach and mentor new or less experienced MSLs • Assist with supervision and performance evaluation and lead special projects • Contribute leadership and strategic planning • Facilitate review and follow-up of Investigator-Initiated Studies and assist with Eisai-sponsored trials • Serve as primary contact for external investigators submitting Investigator-Initiated Studies • Provide recommendations for site selection and scientific expertise for sponsored post-marketing studies • Lead field medical efforts supporting collaborations with professional organizations, societies and advocacy groups

🎯 Requirements

• Advanced, terminal Doctorate level (D-level) degree in medical or health sciences (e.g. MD, PhD, PharmD, DPH, EdD) • For MSL: 0–3 years of experience in the pharma/biotech industry, clinical pharmacy, research, or related scientific/clinical experience, preferably as MSL • For Sr. MSL: minimum 3 years of MSL experience in Oncology/Hematology • Strong broad-based scientific and pharmaceutical knowledge • Knowledge of treatment guidelines, clinical research processes, FDA regulations and OIG guidelines • Knowledge and experience within Eisai desired therapeutic areas and ability to communicate across multiple disease states • Established relationships with key opinion leaders and knowledge of institutions in relevant therapeutic areas • Excellent presentation and teaching skills • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to assess issues and think strategically • Experience working cross-functionally • Ability to anticipate, organize, plan and handle changing priorities • Ability to work independently while adhering to Medical Affairs strategic direction • Ability and interest in coaching and mentoring less experienced MSLs • Ability to lead and motivate team members without a direct reporting relationship • Ability to lead and participate in projects while balancing projects with field work • Ability to analyze complex situations and solve cross-functional problems • Sound computer skills, including word processing, slide materials and spreadsheets • Established Oncology/Hematology KOL relationships • Understanding of the pharmaceutical corporate environment and commercial operations, including marketing and sales strategies • Ability to engage in frequent business travel, approximately 60%, including air travel, overnight and occasional weekend travel • Ability to travel domestically and internationally • Valid driver’s license • Ability to engage in person with HCPs and other third parties regularly • May be required to satisfy third-party credentialing and entry requirements, including vaccination attestations or proof • Eisai Inc. participates in E-Verify; employment eligibility verification applies to new hires in the United States
