• Conduct outbound follow-up calls or send emails to individuals who contacted the helpline in emotional distress or crisis • Confirm status of linkage efforts with support services • Troubleshoot barriers to obtaining services • Review Safety Plans where applicable • Coordinate identification of and referrals to local, state, or federally funded programs and agencies • Dispatch Mobile Crisis Teams where available • Prepare reports and maintain the database of validated resources and service offerings • Provide follow-up services for helpline callers and help them access recommended behavioral health services
• HS diploma or equivalent • Minimum of 6 months experience in behavioral health • Any combination of education and experience providing an equivalent background • Knowledge of behavioral health social services and insurance systems • Understanding of factors impacting experiences in the mental health system, including race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, language proficiency, religion, disability status, socioeconomic status, criminogenic risk, and history of trauma • Ability to work varied 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, including weekends • BS/BA degree in a mental health or other human services field preferred
